1. Senior Director Sales

Job Description

The Senior Director Sales (SDS) is responsible for building, leading and developing a sales organization and selling ASC products and services by maintaining and expanding customer base in academic, governmental and industrial segments. The SDS will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans and will ensure alignment with the company’s overall growth objectives. An integral part of this role is the ability to balance strategy and tactics and to foster creativity and innovation directed towards driving market adoption and expansion of the company’s products to grow market share, revenue and profitability year-over-year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads and coaches a team of sales professionals to identify new business opportunities and manage existing client relationships.
  • Develops and strengthens the organizational team by implementing effective team-building strategies and standardized work processes.
  • Enhances functional capability through clear direction and the deployment of best practices to ensure team success and operational efficiency.
  • Work with Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Sales team to define growth targets.
  • Develops and ensures implementation of the company’s sales strategy across the sales team and all product channels to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual bookings forecasting.
  • Provide input to pricing and product positioning.
  • Work closely with marketing in tandem to convert qualified leads from marketing and sales into actual bookings.
  • Promotes sales excellence and represent ASC in the field through team travels, customer visits, key vendors, and industry conferences.
  • Oversee management of key accounts. Ensures a high level of expertise and customer service is delivered to all customers.
  • Takes the lead in monitoring competitors, building a market intelligence funnel, assisting marketing for voice of customers, and assisting marketing analysis in strategy development and tactical plan deployment.
  • Use data-driven approach to continuously diagnose business performance and analyze competitive trends and impact on tactical execution against goal achievement.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in life sciences.
  • Knowledge of scientific terminology, specifically related to gene editing, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), or stem cells.
  • Proven skills in sales leadership, strategic selling, and negotiation in the cell and gene therapy industry.
  • 12+ years of life science industry or equivalent experience; 4+ years of sales leadership
  • Wide network and evidenced track record of success working in the cell and gene therapy industry with Big Pharma, Academia and Biotech’s across globally.
  • Strong interpersonal negotiating and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional business acumen.
  • Previous start-up or Product launch experience
  • Team player and accustomed to being flexible and adjust to changes

2. Marketing Assistant

Job Description

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our digital and event marketing efforts to enhance brand awareness, generate leads, evaluate and report on marketing campaign performance, and enable the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute marketing campaigns: Work with internal and external stakeholders to build, deploy, and prepare metrics reports for our digital marketing campaigns, including email, pay-per-click, organic and paid social media, banner ads, webinars, and advertorials.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop engaging, customer-centric content and collateral.
  • Event Management: Organize and manage tradeshows, ensuring full support for internal teams before and after the event as well as a seamless experience for participants that aligns with the brand messaging.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed on market trends, competition, and personal development, always seeking ways to improve and innovate.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform related tasks as needed, contributing to the overall success of the marketing function.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field.
  • Undergraduate degree in life sciences a plus

Minimum Experience

  • 1+ year relevant experience in the life science, media or healthcare industries.

Supervised by: Director of Marketing

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Geography: resident in the San Francisco Bay rea.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels and in all departments. Team-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Proficient with PC based office computers including familiarity with Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools (i.e. Hubspot)
  • Experience with WordPress
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, plus other graphics programs useful in marketing communications.
  • Willing to travel as needed for marketing events.
