Applied StemCell welcomes two seasoned leaders to our team

Milpitas, California, January 2025 – Applied StemCell, Inc., a proven CRO/CDMO and gene editing technology developer, is pleased to welcome Todd Garland to our Board of Directors and Mike Yurkovich as Vice President of Sales.

Todd Garland brings over 30 years of expertise in product management, sales, and commercial operations within the life sciences industry and we eagerly anticipate his guidance in driving business growth. Todd currently serves as the President of Bruker Spatial Biology, with previous roles that include Chief Commercial Officer at NanoString Technologies, Inc. and Cytek Biosciences, Vice President and General Manager at BD Biosciences, Vice President of Sales in Procedural Solutions at CareFusion and Cardinal Health. Todd holds a BS in Accounting from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Michigan.

As the new Vice President of Sales, Mike Yurkovich, Ph.D., will lead our sales team and drive revenue growth across our portfolio. With over 16 years of experience in the life sciences industry, Mike has held leadership roles including Head of Sales, Chief Scientific Officer, and Director of Business Development at organizations such as Innoforce Pharmaceuticals, WCG Clinical, VR Analytical, Phenomenex, Abbott Laboratories, and Abbvie. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Purdue University.
